What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy that helps individuals process and recover from trauma. It focuses on the brain's natural ability to heal from distressing experiences.
How does EMDR Therapy work?
EMDR therapy involves a structured eight-phase approach, allowing clients to reprocess traumatic memories through guided eye movements, reducing emotional distress associated with those memories.
Who can benefit from EMDR Therapy?
EMDR can help individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and other emotional challenges. It is suitable for both adults and children.
How long does EMDR Therapy take?
The duration of EMDR therapy varies depending on individual needs. Typically, clients may require several sessions to achieve significant results.
Do you take insurance?
I accept priority health and blue cross blue shield insurance. I do regular therapy and I also do EMDR 90 min sessions which requires some out of pocket pay. Please inquire for more details.
